blogs i love: a practical wedding

24 Jun

i love a practical wedding. i found it about 6 months into my engagement (i’m now on month 19 of 30), and it was the first wedding blog i found that didn’t make me feel batshit insane. so much of what we are fed as women-who-are-to-be-married1 aims to convince us that our choices aren’t good enough, and that blog has always had a knack for cutting down to the core of what weddings and wedding planning should really be about.

proof? here’s the pudding:

“…For me, in the end, wedding planning has turned out to be all about making choices. It’s about claiming the life that you want in the middle of a world that is telling you about the life that you should have.”

trufax, meg. trufax.

1the word “bride” freaks me out, when used reflexively
