well…

19 Jun

…i’m toying around with the idea of making this blog partially about my own wedding planning. in part, because although i can’t get it together to post regularly about my items, all i want to do is talk about how david (my manly love) and i just figured out who should marry us. also in part, because ms. ten thousand only is a really smart lady and implored her readers to do just that. and i am really pretty awesome at listening and taking direction.

so… half-wedblog, half-vendblog? it sounds a little frankestein, but perhaps.

in the meantime, i’m a proud orchid mama. we’re thinking having these babies, potted, as centerpieces. eh? i love the idea of a) not having dead things on the table, b) having people take these home to nurture for years after the party’s over, and c) being able to buy them weeks in advance, and d) how effing cheap they are: $15 with the pot at our grocery store. i keed you not.

Love the orchids. You know “they” would charge 3x more if “they” supplied them. Grr the evil wedding people.

Whoop for the living flowers. Although I seem to kill orchids so I am not allowed them at home!

thank you! i’m sure “they” would… the price we pay for having the words “wedding” and “bridal” attached to everything is unfathomable.

re: keeping orchids alive — do you keep them in direct light? i’ve found that mine do best in minimal/indirect light, and with sparing but daily watering.
